Dr. Amsel has been practicing psychiatry, and public health psychiatry for 25 years, as well as doing academic research and teaching in psychiatry at Columbia University. He co-directed the Trauma Studies and Services division at Columbia University, where he was involved in treating victims of 9/11 and their families, in training community clinicians in cutting edge treatments for PTSD and in similar work with Complicated (Traumatic) Grief. Dr. Amsel has also been involved in nationally recognized training program for Pediatricians and Adolescent Health Clinicians in dealing with mental health issues in their practice. Dr. Pineless was the president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) from 2012–2013. Dr. Pineless also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine. Dr. Pineless is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, and the American Society of Neurorehabilitation.
