Gretchen Bakkenson, MA, CRC, CLCP currently serves as a vocational expert and vocational rehabilitation counselor in the western United States. Ms. Bakkenson’s career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor began in 1991 with the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in Boise, ID. Gretchen’s love and dedication for the field blossomed from there. Ms. Bakkenson pursued a doctorate degree through the University Idaho in Adult Education and Rehabilitation Counseling until her family relocated to Arizona. Returning to Arizona resulted in a transition of her vocational rehabilitation career to the private sector. Ms. Bakkenson’s practice involves vocational rehabilitation counseling, planning and placement; evaluation of medical, therapeutic, goods, and services needed by an individual, as a result of an injury or medical condition; life care plan for use in development of structured settlements, Special Needs Trusts, and liability litigation such as medical malpractice or personal injury; consultation services related to the evaluation of individuals to determine employability as well as future, present and past vocational earning capacity and economic damages; and expert testimony regarding life care planning, vocational earning capacity and employability. Ms. Bakkenson is a recognized expert at the Industrial Commission of Arizona, the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Social Security Administration, Superior Courts of Arizona and other administrative courts throughout the west.
