Principal Engineer and Laboratory Manager at Brookhaven National Laboratory for five years, and developed and operated a test facility for evaluating oil and gas-fired space heating equipment for the U.S. Department of Energy. Experience in Carbon Monoxide testing and investigations. Chairman of Carbon Monoxide Workshop at the Oil Heat Technology Conference held at Brookhaven in April 1997 and performed on-going research for more than 30 years on Carbon Monoxide production by combustion heating equipment. This work included: test program design and operation, data analysis, preparation of engineering reports, and technical presentations. I have extensive experience in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) design and construction industry, including as head of energy savings performance contracting for Johnson Controls, a building automation manufacturer; as department head for the Trane company in Baltimore, a major manufacturer of HVAC equipment; and more than ten years of experience as engineer and project manager for HVAC design build and energy conservation projects for Burns Mechanical, a large mechanical contracting company in Philadelphia.
