Gary Freeman is a licensed Professional Engineer in 7 states (MS, PA, AZ, NV, UT, ID, and LA) with over 35 years experience in river behavior, river hydraulics, sediment, potomology, furrow irrigation, and water resources with projects ranging across the United States including, Illinois, Mississippi, Arizona, Missouri, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, and internationally including West Africa (Mali and Burkina Faso) and Guatemala. 7 1/2 year’s experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers including serving on White House task forces focused on the 1993 Mississippi and Missouri River Floods. Developed and taught Stream Restoration Courses for ASCE and others. Performed numerous FEMA floodplain studies as well as geomorphic evaluations designed to determine if alluvial fans were stable or currently active. Performed one and two-dimensional modeling of hydraulics and sediment transport for locks and dams, nuclear plants, pipeline crossings, river stability analysis, FEMA floodplain delineations and floodplain revisions. Modeled impacts from sand & gravel mining on river stability. Expert witness experience in TX, MS, AL, MO, MT, UT, and other states. Work throughout United States and internationally. Specialty also know as River Potomology.

Dr. Freeman has served as an expert witness in Montana, Arizona, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and has been through all phases of a case from investigation to trial.
